At the top of 2016 Yasiin Bey announced that he will retire from acting in movies and releasing music following his (since-dropped) legal troubles in South Africa. Following the announcement of his final performances in the States, the former Mos Def revealed that he will drop at least three albums: Negus In Natural Person, As Promised – a collaborative effort with Mannie Fresh – and December 99th, a collaborative effort with Ferrari Sheppard.
