Formed around the common ethics of recording, producing, booking, and promoting everything themselves, Westchester County, NY based Xtracts Of Slang formed in the mid 90s and was of emcees Sick, Paradigm and DJ Tommee. Their first release, the “Prelude” EP was released on CD in 1997 in conjunction between Emergency Poncho Records and Xtracts’ own Westchester Records.

Shortly after, Paradigm left the group while Sick and Tommee continued the group appearing with new tracks produced by unofficial third member Johnny Cock (G-Fresh) of Freshchest Prose. 2000’s excellent “Makin’ Love” EP became Xtracts Of Slang’s second and final release and was followed by appearances on notable 00s indie compilations (‘A Piece Of The Action’,
‘Jabs & Cuts Vol 1’, ‘Head Nod Supremacy’) before the group eventually fell off the radar.
