Crooklyn mainstays like Djinji Brown, Spectre, Sensational, and Ish also represent lovely this time around as well as new hedz like Mr. Dead, M. Sayyid, Unipod Particles, and Mr. Law. And, of course, we couldn’t forget Hawd Gankstuh Rappuh Emcees Wit Ghatz, whose “I’m Goin’ Ta Jail” definitely fried some braincells on Vol. 1.

Basically, Sub Hitz Vol. 2 is bigger, badder, and deeper than Vol. 1, so stick that in your box and boom it. This collection is not about old school or new school, but about the Ill School–niggas who aren’t afraid to do what they feel and create something original and exciting. You’re not gonna hear any tired ’70s or ’80s hits looped over a beat here. The only looping is gonna be goin’ on in your head as you wonder what planet these demented tracks came from.
