PayDay grew up on the southwest side of Houston, Texas. He started out in a click called the Lion’z Den, where he learned how to screw & chop and how to market his own underground CD. Other Lion’z Den artists at that time were Yungstar, Lil’ Flex, Papa Rue, Dippo, T.J.D., Paco and Heavy Chevy. He left Lion’z Den to hook up with ScrewPimp from NMS Laboratories. He was a member of the NMS Click and appeared on several underground CDs. When ScrewPimp was incarcerated, PayDay broke off on his own with a few groups that worked for NMS Laboratories. He managed and promoted Sx-Fo and his group 30 Below, and Big D and his group Murder House, while also being a member of each group. In 2001 he moved to the Dallas, Texas area, hooked up with the Sacred Order of Slump (S.O.S.) and went by the alias Bubba Slump. He learned how to “slump & dump” and met up with his current group, the Dirty Dialect Click  (D.D.C.) which is comprised of PayDay, (Big) Classick (aka E-Classik) and Blak-N-Mild (aka B. Mizzle).
