Paperboys – No Cure For Life (CD) (2002) (FLAC + 320 kbps)

Norwegian duo Paperboys debut album was loved by both critics and listeners when it released back in 2002. A distinct shift in musical direction from previous Norwegian hip-hop albums which were more dirty/east-coast-ish in sound, No Cure For Living is clearly a product of duo with roots in west-coast rap. The beats are mostly funky and uptempo while the rapping is sharp allowing MC Vinnies upbringing in a English speaking country shine through. Several hits came from this album, notably the radio hit Barcelona featuring Madcon. My personal favorite is the mellow and reminiscing No Cure For Life. The album has a distinct summer feel to it which should help you through the season we’re going into.
