Fuck the Police is J Dilla’s first solo 12 inch as an emcee. The B-Side features regular Dilla collaborators Frank-N-Dank. In the title track, Dilla chastises corrupt policemen who conduct illegal searches and plant evidence on blacks, similar in content to the more well-known N.W.A. song of the same name but different lyrically. The 12″ sleeve cover includes pictures of Mumia Abu-Jamal and Rodney King. Both men are known for their runs ins with the law.
