Isaiah Toothtaker & Murs – Unreleased EP (WEB) (2008) (320 kbps)

When I first met Murs, in ’97, I gave him props on his “Nowuno” verse and he gave me a copy of his “F’real” tape. We became fast friends and for many years, he and I were very close. I even became a minister to officiate his marriage. I might still be ordained. Murs released my first formal album in 2008. I had a few projects before then but this was my official intro into the “Industry.” He also took me on my first cross country tour. When we performed in Minneapolis I got into a fist fight and he bailed me out of jail. Shortly after tour we started a podcast, that for a while, had a lot of attention. Nardwaur even emailed us for an interview, but Murs deleted the email after I suggested we do it. I’m not sure why he was against it. Nardwaur the Human Serviette wasn’t quite popular then so it could have been that. Around this same time, he and I had more differences and stopped doing the podcast. We became a bit distant, and I went on to focus on developing Machina Muerte. During the podcast period, Murs and I made a collaborative album entirely produced by Cadalack Ron’s brother Briefcase. Because the collaboration was sort of shelved, songs got shuffled into Caddy’s “Times Is Hard” LP and my album “Illuminati Thug Mafia.” TBH, I’m responsible for half of that… more
