Born and raised in Alexandria, VA but since 2002 residing in Brooklyn, NY, emcee Doujah Raze first caught the attention from underground hip-hop fans when he released his 2001 debut single “Hard Times” b/w “Looking Up” through his own independent Trilogy label. Wider acknowledge followed with “Irish Cream” on another rising indie label, Ill Boogie.

Several 12-inches followed during the early 00’s, including “Spinmata” on Brick, before Doujah Raze released his self-titled debut album in 2006. “New York City” b/w “Virginia”, the album’s lead single, preceded the LP by two years with its 2004 release, and includes guest performances by Born Unique, Thad Reid and Mista Sinista of The X-Ecutioners.
