“Abstract Symposium” is an album that stands apart from its predecessors. While Degiheugi made a name for himself with primarily instrumental productions, his latest effort takes a completely different approach. As you might have guessed, this is a vocal album-featuring a host of guest artists across 16 tracks full of character. Rest assured, though: if you enjoyed his earlier albums, it is a safe bet that this record will delight your ears just as much as the old favorites did. In other words, even though the decision to put vocals front and center could have compromised the strength of his production work, the balance remains intact. Ranging from jazz to hip-hop and acoustic folk, “Abstract Symposium” is an album defined by diversity… but then again,  would we expect anything less from Degiheugi?
