From out of the ashes of hip hop’s rebirth, heralding the return to true skills and superior quality comes the critically acclaimed “Microchips” album from Rhode Island crew Clokworx. Consisting of DJ Orator along with emcees Ams and Phes, Clokworx exploded on the underground hip-hop scene with their 12-inch release “Mental Flux” b/w “Time In This Career” which
was voted #1 Editors Pick at Rolling Stone, was mentioned in The Source Unsigned Hype, and charted #40 on CMJ – which eventually earned Clokworx a spot on the 1999 Lyricist Lounge tour.

Original 2002 release of “Microchips” on Commonwealth Records, collecting all Clokworx 12-inch favorites and b-sides. This version also feature the WERS freestyle and the Sage Francis outro, which didn’t appear on the 2006 re-issue. People just don’t make hip-hop like this nowadays!
