Los Angeles based J Rocc has been a pivotal figure in hip-hop since the early 90’s, when he founded the Beat Junkies with Melo-D and DJ Rhettmatic.

Later on, the DJ, producer and turntable extraordinarie would find himself in the center of the Stones Throw label, DJing along side Madlib and Dilla while also help to user in an era of instrumental hip-hop and lo-fi music.

J Rocc has always had a one-of-a-kind ear for great breaks, and in this special DJ mix, he’s assembled some classics – from the likes of James Brown, Cerrone, and more – along with a stack of vintage rap cuts.
