Fluid Engineerz – New School Suspension Vol. 1 (CD) (2004) (FLAC + 320 kbps)

Science O’Mega, not a stranger to various sorts of unscrupulous promoters, deejays, producers, booking agents, record labels, and artists has single-handedly become one of Hip Hop’s most promising producers and emcees especially coming from his culturally deprived home of Knoxville, Tennessee, a place in the southeastern United States largely only known for Johnny Knoxville and the now defunct Sunsphere. He began writing his first rhymes in elementary school at the impressionable age of ten when rap artists such as Run DMC, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, & Rakim were foremost respect among the entire Hip Hop community. Under the influences of these artists he long decided what he would do as both his career and dedicated hobby.
Because of Science O’Mega being involved in all of his own production, writing, and live performances with no aid as an adolescent he simply decided to quietly hone is his craft only sharing his best work among the most critical rap connoisseurs found in his East Knoxville neighborhood as a means to gage the quality of his lyrics and production. Holding his own throughout the various changes in rap styles, trends, and par that came and went from the late 80’s through the mid-nineties; Science O’Mega has paid his dues as an artist and producer.
Upon maturity, Science O’Mega formed a rap trio called Fluid Engineerz in 1997 initially starting with Science O’Mega and partner emcee Dynamic. Around the town of Knoxville, Tennessee they began gaining their reputation as one of Knoxville’s only true Hip Hop artists competing in rap contests, talent shows, and any functions inviting their “abstract” style. Science O’Mega decided to try his own hand at deejaying as a means to boost awareness of true-school hip hop in Knoxville also to further in the aid of propagating the sound Fluid Engineerz. A third emcee by the name of Black Atticus was added to the Fluid Engineerz to make up the present trio.
In 2000, they began their performances at small venues in Knoxville’s Old City, which is the small town’s equivalent of New York City’s East Village headlining small venues featuring other local hip hop artists as their openers. After four years of refining the Fluid Engineerz combined sound, the trio released New School Suspension Volume 1 in 2004, a 12 inch single “Love4This” featuring Pete Rock and “The Basics” featuring Cesar Comanche of the critically acclaimed North Carolina hip hop collective Justus League, and in 2006 recorded their most current work “New School Suspension Volume 2” featuring Cesar Comanche, Edgar Allen Floe, and Supastition. Fluid Engineerz are also the founders of the Hip Hop collective Heavy Rotation Dept including members from Brooklyn, NY, Chicago, Illinois and Greenville, Tennessee.
