thegoodnews. is a hip-hop band led by rap luminary Del The Funky Homosapien, presented primarily in cartoon form. Founded by Del along with producer CTZN, rapper Po3, and illustrator Pete Cosmos, the group first began to coalesce during Deltron 3030’s Event 2 tour, eventually finding their sound alongside guitar and pedal wizard Taka Tozawa and bass/FX guru Juan Alderete, a former member of The Mars Volta who has worked with Mac Miller, Jonwayne, Domo Genesis, and more. Now, thegoodnews. is introducing their odd-ball universe with the new EP This Just In! An official Record Store Day release on picture-disc vinyl, the project is a lush realization of the collective’s unique style, powered by Del The Funky Homosapien’s outlandish creativity.
