Lund/Malmo, Sweden based duo Chords & Scissors was played a big part of the prospering late 90’s Scandinavian hip-hop movement. While the likes of Looptroop, Headtag and Timbuktu received wider attention, Chords & Scissors kept their work underground until Redline Records (The Latin Kings, Ison & Fille) took the duo under their wings in 2000 releasing the EP “Urinall Disses”.

At the same time putting in work with formations like Live & Direct, Sneaky Squad, Down South Ballers (and later Helt Off, Timbuktu, Smuts & Co) emcee and producer Chords pursued a solo career (‘The Garden Around The Mansion’, ‘Things We Do For Things’) while Scissors formed his own label Saarvi Records which hosted artists like T.R. (Oris), Youthman and Professor P.
