What do you know about Hyenas In The Desert? Truly one of the most obscure, short-lived (and, one might argue, forgettable) formations in hip-hop, the group was barely a group, only comprising Lakeview, Long Island based emcee Kendo with longtime Bombsquad producer Gary G-Wiz.

As the first installment on Chuck D’s Sony-distributed Slam Jamz imprint, HITD’s only release, the EP “Die Laughing”, came out in 1996 led by singles “Can You Feel It” and “Concubinez”. For some weird reason, an uncencored version of “Concubinez” does not exist (it was the only track on the EP that was cencored, and this 12″ version is no different).
