The Beatnuts’ third album, Stone Crazy, is a clever combination of jazz-inflected rhythms and hardcore rhyming, highlighted by dense, provocative production. It’s lacking some of the energy of the group’s first two records, yet Stone Crazy proves that the Beatnuts continue to push the envelope.
