Though it’s called Tron Legacy: The Mixtape, the 18-track collection has nothing to do with film other than some shout-outs on the opening track.
Instead, Pemberton is having fun as he raps over some of his favourite tracks, including the Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs,” E-40’s “The Weedman,” Gucci Mane’s “Lemonade” and many others. The collection is also heavy on the guests, including appearances from Buck 65, Shad, Birdapres, the Joe and many others. Taking on hipsters, Edmonton as a city and the G20, among many others, the mix is a lot of fun.
